He works as an interior designer in the U.S. She works as a system analyst in Spain. He is from Detroit in the United States. She is from Valencia in Spain. They are in an island around Indonesia now. They each came here by plane. They have exchanged letters for a year, and they wanted to see each other. They lie to their companies this trip is with their family. By the way, the building behind them is an arch imitates Triumphal Arch in France, and the name of arch is Triumphal Arch-Modoki. There are a lot of fake famous buildings around the world in this area. All people visited here can enjoy sightseeing as if they were visiting the constructions truly. They are going to stay there for a week and enjoy meeting, and then they will go back to their own countries.

Direct CDs

24 Maple Tower

Dear Sir:

I’m writing in regards to the customer service of your company.

I bought a music CD, Classic Hits of the 60s by mail order from your company. However, the CD arrived scratched, so I couldn’t play it.

The service was a total disgrace. I called your customer service center, but number was wrong. Furthermore, the service of customer service center was slow. A representative seemed not familiar with handling returns, so I kept waiting 15 minutes until I could get a satisfactory explanation.

I was looking forward to the CD. I had already paid $12.99 for it. However, I would like a refund for the CD.

I have enclosed the CD, Classic Hits of the 60s. If you have any questions, I can be reached by telephone at (0123)45-7890 or by email at 2906142m@edu.hgu.jp

I look forward to hearing from you at earliest opportunity.

Sincerely,

Dear Huge

Dear Huge

Hi, Huge. I had same problem before, and I can understand your worry. I’ll try to answer you as I can.

First, I know fast food is so delicious that we can’t stop eat one. If you can’t put up with eating one, you should try to reduce amount of fast food. As for salads, I recommend you to eat one. Though salad’s taste is very plain, we can season with some dressing. We can choose favorite one from many kind of dressing. I love to have salads, and my favorite source is Caesar. Please try it.

Second, why don’t you start to exercise? When I put on my weights once, I tried to set a limit to the amount of snacks and, I started do exercise, stretching, sit-ups and light-jogging.

Finally, in my opinion, if you worry about that seriously, you should act soon. No

The Devil Wears Prada

The name of my movie is “The Devil Wears Prada”. The genre is Comedy / Drama and it was produced in 2006. The movie is set in New York today. It was directed by David Frankel. The main actresses were Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. My movie was nominated for many awards including an Oscar. In addition, the IMDB rating is 6.8 stars out of 10.

In the story, a naive young woman comes to New York and scores a job as the assistant to one of the city’s biggest magazine editors, the ruthless and cynical Miranda Priestly. It is a success story about a woman, Andy, who got assistant job of very famous fashion magazine, but she is not careful about her appearance! Some problems happened. As she becomes accustomed to job, she is suffering between her job and her private companionship.

My impression of this movie was that it is very interesting and stimulating. A setting that a main character becomes smart gradually is fun, and various high quality clothes which characters wear are very exciting. The character of a severe editor in chief, Meryl, is good. Main character, Andy is so honest and awkward that I felt intimate. I recommend The Devil Wears Prada to all women.

A Letter to Myself

Filed under: Uncategorized — mamiyo at 1:36 pm on Friday, October 3, 2008

This is a letter I am writing to myself with three goals in it. I will open this letter in five years and decide whether or not I have achieved these goals. The goals I have set for myself are to stop eating junk food, visit foreign countries, and get the Pre-1 Grade of Eiken. I will explain why I chose these goals and how I plan to accomplish them.

First, I want to stop eating junk food. I can’t stop eating chocolate and potato chips in these days. I put on 1 kilogram last month, and my weight doesn’t return. I am very shocked now. I have decided to stop eating junk food, and I will lose weight surely. Today, I didn’t eat snacks between meals. I want to make it a custom not to eat snacks.

Next, I would like to go abroad. My dream is to visit United Kingdom. I have wanted to go abroad since I was a high school student, because I like scenery of UK’s buildings, churches, castles and so on. I have never been to foreign country. I don’t have enough money to visit overseas now. I have to put aside some money for my trip, and I will accomplish this dream when I become a member of society.

Finally, I would like to get the Pre-1 Grade of Eiken. I am studying English at Hokkai Gakuen University. I want to have proof that I studied English earnestly. I am now studying for Eiken. I have a poor listening comprehension, so I study for a hearing test every day.

In conclusion, I have set three goals for myself. The second is most important. I must study hard and save money. I will concentrate on that goal.

Troy

I saw a film called Troy. This is a historical story about The Troia War. It takes place Troia ancient times. The main character is Paris, who is a prince of Troia. There was a problem. Paris robbed Helen who is a queen of Sparta from a king of Sparta. I like this movie, because I like a spectacle film such The Troy.

There is no Extension Activity about Troy, so I can’t write about the movie a lot. I’m so sorry.

My Pet Peeve

Filed under: Uncategorized — mamiyo at 12:45 pm on Friday, July 11, 2008

My pet peeve is cutting into the front of a line. I don’t like rude behavior. I remember the example of that. I use a bus and a subway to go to school every day. Then I sometimes meet some person who cut into the front of a line at Hukuzumi Bus Terminal. I often meet such people when I am on my way to home. I lined up as waiting a bus, and a bus was coming, they cut into the front line. I hate this act that offends against morality. Most of such people are a high school student, especially a school girl and a mother. Although they may hurry, or they may want to sit a seat because of their exhausting, I don’t think such action is allowed. That’s reason why some people do this rude thing, probably it is a result of too much stress in our lives. They are tired from the rush of modern life, and they have no moral sense perhaps.

He decided to go to a nearby lake that evening, and he was supposed to research the flowers around the lake. He spent the night by sleeping outdoors with Max. If I were there, I want to have a lunch.
